BSI certification gives PC4 Recycling customers even further peace of mind
We are pleased to let you know that we have recently been granted BSI certification to three standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001.
ISO 9001 (Quality Management) recognises our strong quality management principles. The assessors looked at everything from our customer service to the efficiency of our processes and the consistently high quality of our services. We’re delighted to receive this official recognition of our ‘right-first-time’ attitude.
We are also happy to receive the ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certification. This recognises our commitment to minimise the impact PC4 Recycling has on the environment. It also shows that we comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and have effective controls in place to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Finally, the ISO 27001 (Information Security) standard recognises our rigorous approach to data protection. It shows that we are able to identify security risks and have designed and implemented a comprehensive suite of information security controls to protect our clients’ data.
We were able to show BSI’s assessors that we keep all data secure until it is destroyed, in addition to other requirements. In fact, we use data wiping software – Blancco HMG InfoSec Standard No.5 – and data destruction equipment that is favoured by international security agencies.
It is especially important for clients to feel confident about correct data destruction given the new EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which will affect all businesses from 25th May 2018 onwards.
Why BSI certification?
BSI has driven best practice in global businesses for more than 100 years. Its ISO assurance marks are recognised throughout the world and seen by many as the gold standard for quality.
We chose to go through BSI’s certification process over other quality assurance marks because we feel BSI is well-known to all of our customers. The assessment process requires businesses to operate at consistently high standards and to focus on future improvement.
It’s important to show that we are committed to delivering best practice and value to our customers now and in the future. Receiving the three BSI certifications provides independent third party approval and recognition of the hard work our team puts into PC4 Recycling every single day.
Carla Whyte, UK Senior Client Propositions Manager at BSI commented:
“By gaining certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001, PC4 Recycling has demonstrated that they are carrying out best practice in quality management, environmental management and information security. Certification to these standards will bring a number of benefits; helping PC4 to increase stakeholder confidence, enhance their business processes and improve the service to their clients. The team should be delighted with this achievement.”
